1. Custom Commissions
- Design Approval: For custom pieces, final designs and material selections must be approved in writing before production begins.
- Variations: Wood is a natural material. Variations in grain, color, and texture are inherent characteristics and not considered defects.
- Timeline: Lead times are estimates. We will communicate any significant delays due to material sourcing or production complexity.
2. Payments & Deposits
- Deposits: A non-refundable deposit (typically 50%) is required to secure a spot in the production queue and purchase materials.
- Final Balance: The remaining balance is due upon completion and prior to shipping or delivery.
3. Shipping & Delivery
- Risk of Loss: We are not responsible for damage occurring during third-party transit, though we will assist in filing insurance claims with carriers.
- Local Pickup: If opting for local pickup, items must be collected within 14 days of completion notification unless otherwise agreed.
4. Intellectual Property
- Design Ownership: Woven Woodworks retains the rights to all original designs, including 3D models and custom patterns, unless a transfer of intellectual property is explicitly purchased.
- Photography: We reserve the right to use photographs of completed commissions for marketing and portfolio purposes.
5. Limitation of Liability
Woven Woodworks is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products. Wood expands and contracts with environmental changes; we are not responsible for damage caused by improper climate control or misuse.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Woven Woodworks operates.
